Hi there! I'm guessing you have been looking for Art classes - for adults or kids. I have been out of commission as far as organized classes go because my husband was very ill. He recently passed away and I am in the process of 1) ramping my art teaching business back up. and 2) rebuilding my website and 3) Looking for a new facility where I can hold classes outside of my home. (I have a couple of leads so far)
Children's classes this fall - I will continue to do art parties for kids - age 8 and up in your home for birthday parties, teams and other groups. The cost is $30.00 per child which includes all the supplies for the painting project. We will do a small 8x10 or 11x14 painting in 2 hours. All you do is supply the birthday cake and decorations :-) The birthday child paints for free. I can accomodate up to 12 children IF there are some parents present to help with paint and clean up. Minimum is 6.
Also if there is enough interest I will teach kids classes on Saturday mornings from 9 to 11. I haven't settled on a cost yet but it will also include all the supplies including surface, paint and brushes.
We will work on acrylic paintings. I will start with a few that I pick and then they will be able to choose their own pattern to paint with my help. They can progress at their own speed and I will TEACH the basics of how to paint.
ADULT CLASSES THIS FALL
If you are a BEGINNER - I will be holding classes on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm
We will be doing a series of projects that will teach you the basics of painting with acrylics and then after that you can pick your own patterns - from my extensive collection - and learn to paint whatever you prefer - landscapes, still life, cutsie, floral, wildlife etc. Call me or private message me on FB or IG to find out more details. Until I get my website up and running I will ask for payment by cash, cheque or etransfer.
Beginner classes usually require you to purchase a beginner kit of supplies, brushes and include the use of my studio paints. I do sell the supplies in the studio so you don't have to run around to 5 stores looking for supplies.
Intermediate / Advanced classes
If you have already painted before, I will have classes on Thursday nights from 7 to 9pm. These will be project based classes that teach you new skills every week. AND/OR come and paint - work on your own projects and get a little help from me as you need it. Intermediate classes require you to purchase your supplies and surfaces. Some surfaces are available in the studio - and more online. I stock basic class supplies in the studio.
